Image of the Great Carina Nebula NGC 3372. The Carina Nebula is approximately 8,500 light years away and about 300 light years across located in the Carina-Sagittarious Arm of the Milky Way.
The image is a total of 6 hours of exposures shot with a ZWO FF65 APO Quintuplet telescope with a ZWO AS12600 MC DUO sensor astro camera and tracked with a ZWO AM5 Harmonic Equatorial Mount. The tracking software controlling the exposure was ASIAIR and processed in Pixinsight software.
The image was captured on a clear night in a clearing off the road to Regans Ford, a small town located in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, about 110 kilometres north of Perth in the Shire of Dandaragan.

After surfacing from a bone-chilling dive off the South West Australian
coast, I was met by the ruler of my local skies, the mighty eastern
osprey. She plucked a tarwhine from the reef shallows and glided past
me with her catch, no more than five metres away, before landing to
feast undisturbed. The bloodstained rock she perched on, littered with
skeletons and remains, revealed itself as her well-worn dinner table.

Image is an aerial photograph captured with a Sony A1 camera and 24-105 mm lens. The image was shot in Shark Bay, Western Australia.
There are a few small pools with coloured water found in Shark Bay and I was intrigued by the shape that reminded me of an umbilical cord .

St Regis in downtown Chicago, standing at 363 metres, is engineered as three staggered vertical forms. Its curving geometry rises like waves, to blend into the sky with six shades of reflective glass wrapping its steel frame. The architecture is arresting; its imprint on the skyline unmistakable. But it’s the vertical perspective captured in this image that reframes the narrative from tall skyscraper to sculptured urban landscape.

Previously named Tourism Australia’s Best Beach in 2022, this natural spectacle earned the title thanks to its stunning surroundings. This image captures an alternate view of the beach, where instead of the usual salty cyan tones, freshwater runoff and seasonal algae blooms have created a unique green-dominated palette. It’s not the result of colour grading, but a natural phenomenon that appears around the stormy winter months.
